Vento Connect may collect the following information when you grant permission:

• Location data — To report device position and enable location-based automations.
• Camera access — To take photos and control the device flashlight. Images are not stored on our servers unless explicitly configured by the user.
• Microphone access — To measure ambient sound levels for sensor automations. Audio is not recorded or transmitted.
• Bluetooth data — To scan and connect to nearby BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) devices on your network.
• Notifications — To send you alerts and status updates from your devices and automations.

2. How We Use Your Information

All collected data is used exclusively to provide the core functionality of the application:

• Connecting to and controlling your IoT devices.
• Running automations and monitoring device status.
• Sending notifications about device events.

We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage and Processing

Vento Connect communicates with your self-hosted or cloud-hosted Vento server. Your data is processed and stored on the server you configure. We do not have access to your data unless you connect to a Protofy-hosted instance.

4. Third-Party Services

The app may use the following third-party services:

• Expo — For app updates and build infrastructure.
• MQTT — For real-time communication with your devices (self-hosted or user-configured).

5. Permissions

The app requests only the permissions necessary for its functionality. You can revoke any permission at any time through your device settings. Some features may not work without the required permissions.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information, including encrypted communications (TLS/SSL) and secure credential storage on your device.

7. Children's Privacy

Vento Connect is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
